Lodging
Think you can’t stay in luxury hotels for motel prices? Think again. These sites will help you find those killer bargains.

Great info!! As a travel agent, I have to admit that I use a lot of the websites that are listed. However, so many of the travel suppliers have come to realize that using travel agents is so important these days that many of them don’t offer the general public any sweeter deals via the internet that a travel agent can get you. It’s called leveling the playing field or the no discounting rule. So if you’re going to pay $2000 for a trip to Disney anyway, wouldn’t you rather have a warm body making your reservation and giving you valuable advice (like there’s a lot of construction going on right now around the Animal Kingdom Lodge, let’s get you a better resort) or would you rather just use a booking engine and get no feedback whatso ever. And what if your cruise is delayed due to mechanical difficulties or weather? Will you booking engine call you and tell you or persue getting you the correct refund?? Yes, the internet is a great starting point for researching and planning you travel but when it comes time for booking, take all the information you’ve gathered and discuss it with a travel agent and have them book the travel for you. I’ve never had a client come back from a trip sorry they used a travel agent. I have had a few clients use a booking engine to book their travel instead of a travel agent and they have been sorry. Choose wisely people it’s your travel budget!!

This is a great list and I think you were wise to exclude travel guide and travel message board sites. Keep up the good work!

Do not use this site. I used this site once and paid $20 more the the motel’s advertised rate.
The site basically told me I was “out of luck” when I complained. They did not guarrentee the rate beyond 24 hours.
I guess if you can trick enough people, you can still make money if you can scam enough people into using your service once.

Thanks for the great sites. I found a really good car rental site to add called carrentalsavers.com. I travel quite a lot and they book for me on request, and have beaten the rates I could find ever time.
