For consumers who live in Chicago, or love to visit there frequently, American Express has designed this rewards card just for you. Rewards are earned in the form of one point for each dollar spent on general purchases, but bonus points are awarded for "City Essentials" like newspapers, movie tickets, magazines, dining, cable TV, phone service and gym memberships. One of the best perks of this card is the Tuesdays IN:Chicago program, which allows card holders to get discounts on Tuesdays with participating merchants, and VIP access to special events. Other benefits include purchase protections, travel accident and auto rental insurance coverage.
