The Discover Student Tropical Card can be a great way for students to build credit. There is no annual fee for the card, and students can make sure they make payments on time with the easy to use online payment program with email reminders to help avoid late fees. Cardholders will enjoy a 5% cash back bonus on categories that change four times a year and include gas stations, restaurants, travel and clothing stores. Cardholders will also always get 1% cash back on all other purchases as well as .25% at certain warehouse clubs. Rewards don't expire as long as the card is used within any 36 month period and there is no limit on the amount of rewards cardholders can receive yearly. Students can feel safe using the card with $0 fraud liability and early fraud warnings, making it a safe and easy way for students to build credit.
