For those looking to upgrade to a no-frills platinum card, this card from Citibank could be the answer. It is especially well-suited for those who have moderate credit or who are looking to improve their credit history. For those who qualify, there is no interest for the first twelve months the card is in use on any purchases made with the card, though after this period, the interest rate will return to its standard level which is still fairly low in comparison to other cards -- if cardholders are approved at the lowest rate. Additional benefits of the card include auto rental insurance, fraud protection, online services, optional photo cards and travel accident insurance.
