This colorfully-designed card from Bank of America gives individuals the opportunity to support the environment through their credit card. The EarthSmart program awards individuals 1,000 points after their first qualifying purchase and 1,000 more bonus points after they choose to use the paperless billing feature. Cardholders can also rack up points by earning one point for each dollar spent on the card. Points are then used to fund environmental projects and groups.
As an added benefit, cardholders get to create their own profile on the Brighter Planet website for free to keep track of their environmental impact with the card. There is no annual fee associated with this card, and there is an attractive introductory rate for various transactions.
